Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Batavia, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Illinois run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

The food was amazing! I was debating on doing the all you can eat but the price was so worth it. Steven was an amazing waiter and gave us amazing service! I will definitely be back.

We had been curious to try Sushi Yume, and we finally had the chance to stop in for lunch. Since it was our first visit, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain the menu. The food was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. We enjoyed a few rolls along with an appetizers, and everything was delicious. Overall, we had a great meal and a wonderful first experience. Would love to come back!

We came in for all-you-can-eat sushi on a late Saturday afternoon and left extremely full and excited to come back. The all-you-can-eat menu is very extensive and full of options - not just sushi, but ramen, udon, and poke dishes at your disposal. There's also a nice spread of appetizers, and of all this I only ordered the crab rangoon, which hit the spot. Had to prioritize sushi for our first visit. Everything was fresh and flavorful, not too saucy (where applicable). Some of the specialty rolls I haven't seen before, which is always nice. While everything was good, stand outs to us were the Angel Hair roll, American Dream, and Rock and Roll. The interior is beautiful and manages to feel modern without being sterile, and our table was nice and clean. Our waiter did something that I totally understand but still made me chuckle, which was make sure we knew how much sushi we were ordering on our first round. Again: I get why he would do this; as you can see from the photos, it was maybe a lot of rolls for 2 people. But we assured him we knew what we were getting into, and then had the room to put in a second round, hahaha. Also, as the parents of a toddler who doesn't want to eat

We tried weekday all you can eat sushi. We checked the menu it did not make much different than dinner but cheaper. The quality is good and tastes great. The service was great as well. We like the appetizer especially the calamari. The only comment I have is that they sushi on wooden board. The rice sticks on the board. When I tried to picked the sushi by chopsticks and rice ball just breaks apart. Overall, a great place. We will come back again.
